What a great group of ladies. The Kansas City chapter of the Brandeis National Committee brings awareness and help support the Brandeis University Libraries, scholarships and fund medical research. It was an honor for us to meet the group on March 4 at their book and author luncheon. We presented information about our book on Harzfeld's, but learned as much from many ladies who patronized the store and several that worked there.

Green and white stripes were a signature of Harzfeld's from the early '40s when a new identity system was designed by Display Director, Erasmus (Ras) Beall (1912-1979).
